I never thought I would see what happened to me yesterday.
![]() My beautiful wife gave me the surprise of my life yesterday. She went out and bought herself BIKE GEAR ![]() ![]() You have to appreciate that my wife lost her dad to a bike accident and has always and understandably hated bikes. So last night for the first time ever my wife and I went for a ride on the SV. I took her for a nice meal and we had a great time, She loved the bike and is looking forward to going out again, Only next time she would like it to be a bit warmer ![]() The SV will always have a special place with us for this reason. ![]() |

My son has now out-grown his Cordura stuff, so as & when a new bike comes along I have promised him new leathers - the missus still has hers too ![]() My enduring memory of having the good lady on the back was her tapping me on the back during a ride... When we got to the destination, she took her lid off and said "You were doing 110 back there..." My answer "Was I?" ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

So what brought her round? Continuous persuasion from you or did she just eventually want to find out what you enjoyed so much?
It's nice when someone does come around on their view of bikes. Even if they just realise that the bikes themselves are not always to blame rather than other road users and their lack of awareness. |

Thats pretty cool; maybe she thought being on a bike will help her get over loosing her dad like that? I dunno, amateur psychologist here (i have an A-level!!!!)
My girlfreind has brought all her gear so far. And on friday se's gonna finish it off with a new helmet (borrowing my dads at the mo) and boots and leather trousers to accompany her aplinstars jacket and gloves (she's gonna be a walking alpinstars advert...infact...we both will ![]() Matt |
