I have a couple of stone chips on my tank, they are very small, like a pin head, but seem to be deep enough to have reached the metal. What is the best way to deal with this?

Thanks,

Matt.

A touch-up pen, or as already suggested, a respray. Otherwise, you could stick a sticker over them. That was a joke, incidentally.

Before using the touchup pen should I treat it at all due to the bare metal?

I'd say that depends on the colour of the bike and the touch up pen used. Some come with a primer, some are just paint. Personally, I've always just resprayed when i have stone chips on cars and the like, but I'm bloody awkward like that.

I've met people like you, too much time that's what I say

The reason I ask is I'm sure the metal parts are looknig discoloured (I'm thinking rust!).
