Default Water logged spark plug

Hi all

i know this is a well known problem and it happened to me last week. I got caught in a shower and i got water in my front spark plug

I have removed the lead and the spark plug an i am about to replace them but i am sure i have read on here that you can get some kind of grease to put over the plug to help the connection?????

If so what is it? Is it a standard thing? Am i being dense?

I am fitting my fender extender today
Thanks

Use one of the many water repelent sprays under the cap, make sure the drain hole is clear, and if you want, you can use a little silicone over the top.

that should do.

Cheers Mark.

The grease is a Maplins job - linky - and here's the official word...

Once it's done, you can ride through rivers without missing a beat (well, I've only done that once...) or through a hundred feet of floods deep enough to get your feet wet. I don't recommend that you do, but you can
