Smile Advice on value of SV

Hey guys,

im looking for some advice, i havent psoted much on the site, im on the look out for a good priced SV.

the advice im looking for is values of an SV at various mileages?can anyone help?

for example say a 99 naked with:

10k ---

20k ---

30k ---

40k ---

ive looked at a lot on ebay and autotrader, there seems to be quite a few with high miles 30k plus (these are the ones that are usually in my price range) and i just dont know how much there worth!

ive looked at parkers, but it doesnt go on miles, just age and plate.

any help or direction to a site that has some info/guidance would be much appreciated!!

Thanks

Marc

To give you an idea i just paid £2300 for a 2004 K3 SV650S with full service history, 22,500 miles on the clock and 2 previous owners in very good condition.

I paid £1600 for a 53 plate pointy sport with lower fairings, 4500 miles and in really good nick, apart from very light gazng to the r/h/s lower fairing (by very light i mean, not noticable unless your REALLY close!).

I LOVE eBay!!!!

thats defo a good price!! i wish i had a wee bit more to spend, as i know i would have a much better choice. i only really have around £1000 to spend at the moment, which doesnt give ya many SVs!! if i had an extra £500, im sure i cld gt a much better deal!!

£1000 will get you an older curvy in good condition but with a highish mileage,or a lower mileage one with a bit of damage. They are perfectly good for racking up the miles as long as you look after them, especially the oil and filters. We bought a one owner SK1 last year for £600 but it was well used at 68000 miles.!0000 miles later it's needed front calipers and a repair to a chafed wiring loom, and it uses a bit of oil,but otherwise only service items like tyres chain pads other normal stuff.Shop around.

What he said^

High mileage in reasonable nick or lower milage and older. That is of course unless you get a silly cheap deal like those above.
