insurance claims...how long realisticly??

crashed the bike into the back of a car, back in august time, filed a claim with the insurers, everything seemed fine. but its been over 6 months now, and i still havnt heard a thing. i havnt paid anything to the insurers, and now its coming up to my renewel date. do i just keep hush hush, or do i tell them about it? last time i rang up my insurers to ask aout riding other peoples bikes, they didnt say a thing about the accident. anyone else had this problem?? oh im with carol nash if that helps.

i crunched mine in october and mine too seems to be taking ages? my renewel is due the end of the month and my current insurers want £600!! when ive had a quote of £255 with someone else! anyhow they can deal with the claim in there own sweet time but i'm not giving them my money again! i shall be moving companys.

when you got a quote with the other insurers did you say that you had an insurance claim pending?? because ive been doing some qoutes, and if i dont say anything about the claim, it comes out to be about 260, but when i do it goes up to about 450. they want to knock my ncb down from 4 to 1 as well!!!! im not too happy but what can you do!

yes i have mentioned my accident and on my insurance renewal they have reduced my ncb from 8 year to 3 just incase there is a claim? if theres no claim my ncb will be reinstated.
just a quick note! " ive put total clam as "0" pounds as there hasnt been a claim yet.
