Default Honda City Fly Tyres??

Hope this is the right area for this post but I was wanting a bit of help on this problem. My mate wants to get a Honda City Fly (just passed his CBT at 30!) but I read somewhere that the City Fly's tyres are made by a specialist company that only makes tyres for that bike making them about as rare as a Van Gogh, does anyone out there know any difference or possibly back up what I've been told? He definitely doesn't want to get stuck with a bike thats gonna be a pain in the a**e with the upkeep? Short of that, can anyone recommend a decent enough 125 or does anyone have one kicking about in their garage unused he's lookin to spend upto £700/£800 - he lives local to heathrow airport.

Cheers Guys n Gals.

I had on a couple of years ago. It definately had mis-matched tyres on it so there are atleast 2 makes.

Check the rim size out but I guess any trail style tyre would fit and maybe some from DT125 supermotos etc...

Nice bike but a little over-priced for what it is. Better off with the CG125 (same engine and running gear) and easier to sell-on afterwards.

Better still is the 125 Varadero - looks and feels like a much bigger bike and well cool

Yeah he's been lookin at the varadero on fleabay and autotrader but theyre not really in his price range - he's got a vespa et2 to sell on 1st but he'll only get £500 ish for that private me thinks and he's not into putting much more money towards it and cant find any really 'tatty' varaderos going cheap.

To be honest I don't recall anything that out of the ordinary about City Fly's tyres - but that we didn't hear much about them as there aren't that many on the road.

Best bet - dig out your local yellow pages and ring up a couple of dealerships/tyre fitters and ask for ranges/prices. Simple.
