Default insurance companies!!!

do they have a clue what so ever what the f**k their on about?
im looking for insurance for my first sv. im only 16 atm but i want the quote for when im 17. but they tell me im only 16 so i cant get a quote.
HELLOOO ARE YOU LISTENING TO ANY WORDS THAT I AM SAYIN TO YOU?!

Do it online. Put in your age as 17. That should give you some ballpark figures at least.

So tell them that you're 17 when you call them. Then if/when you follow up the qoute, tell them your DOB. Job jobbed.

Yep - that sounds about right! Try telling them you are 17 now - then you'll get a quote, but better be sitting down first! They'll ask if it's restricted too - I guess as you're 16 you can't have a full licence yet either - which may be a bit of a problem. You'll probaby have to shop around - some companies won't touch you on an SV at your age. Keep at it though - it's worth the effort.

just gt a quote back from carol nash at 814 fully comp and 500 tpft. do they have to see the restricted certificte?

They may or may not ask for the restriction cert. at the time of insuring you. You can be sure they will want it if there's a claim on your policy.

It would be absolute stupidity to not get it done in the first place. If you de-restrict it, well that's your decision, but to not have a certificate to prove it was done in the first place will definately cause you a problem, especially if you're stopped by the old bill because they feel like it....
