When I came off my bike the only sore part was my big toe
![]() It was bruised and swollen for a week or two. When the swelling went and I could bend it again I noticed the knuckle clicked every time I bent it. It's not painful or anything but doesn't feel good and like it might be doing more damage. It wasn't checked when it happened. Should I do something about it or am I just being stupid? |

as regards your toe, you probably broke it. i have broken my big toe twice, nothing as exciting as a bike accident, once dropped a paving slab on it whilst looking at a ladybird and then broke it whilst crawling under a table in high heels at a wedding. Toe was swollen and bruise, doc said it was probably broken but there is nothing they can do so live with it. my toe now cracks all the time when i bend it. it stiffens up and i have to crack it a few times, but its not sore

My toes crack randomly too. Nothing to worry about.
If it is broken, they won't do nothing about it - rest it up. They'll only cast if its metatarsels or above. I know - i had mine in a pot for 4months for metas. Toes - nothing though. |

Left one cracks at random, not aware of any discomfort until it does, then somehow it feels better.
Right does not crack at all It has been doing it for 30 years, that i can remember. |

Could also be tendon damage, and you may have dislocated it without realising.
If it's bothering you, get to the doctor. |

Thanks everyone. I did think at the time it could be broken but was told that I would be in agony if it was. So just left it as it was only sore for the first few days then after that it was only sore when I moved it.
If it keeps bugging me I'll get it looked at |
