Default Buying a bike with 15k on the clock..

Would 15k miles on a 2003 bike be a concern?

Ive seen a one owner CBR600RR that is immaculate but has 15k on the clock and it's putting me off a bit. Is there anything major that needs doing like valve check or something?

The dealer said he would fit a new rear tyre, service it and MoT it before selling, should I be asking for anything else?

Any help much appreciated..

My K3 had 18K on the clock. Dealer did a service, everything seems fine to me. SO long as it has been well looked after, it's fine, but then you can't tell that for sure no matter what bike you buy.

15000 is not that much for a 4 year old bike IMO

15k miles in 4 years isnt too bad. I dont know about CBR600 service intervals but I had a 2001 ZX6R that needed a valve clearance check at 16k miles. Didnt need adjusting, just checking.

Worth checking out the service intervals and if it is due a major service, make sure the dealer will be giving it a major service and not just an oil change service.

Yes.

It's nowhere near enough.

According to the manual valve clearances need to be checked for the first time at 15K miles. HTH
