Default LED Tail and Brake Lights, on a curvy

HI one and all.
I've been looking at buying these for ages, and was wondering if anyone has any thoughts on them.? I have taken pics of before and after and wondered if you thought they looked ok, or just naf?

Cheers
Ian
The order, should be, if I got this right, Normal Taillight, Then LED TAIL Light, Then Normal Brake/Tail, then LED Brake/Tail

TBH it looks a little on the weedy side with LED's.

Main problem is that LED's are very directonal, so where the normal bulbs chuck out the light and it is reflected back from the reflector, this spread causes all of the red plastic to light up.

I dont think that LED lights in the standard fitment work in this case.

Besides why do this? I cant see any benefit.

If you can find an aftermarket unit designed to be LED then that may be cool.

Or do what I did to get an LED rear light unit - get a Pointy :P

I've got the clear lens and LED bulbs.

I agree with SoulKiss that they are less bright than the standard set up, but still very visible, plus I believe the LED bulbs are more durable.

I'd need a lot more good reasons than the rear lights to buy a pointy, and they ain't got any! Lol.

Have twin LED's in a rumble imports undertray, Think it used to look better than the standard back end, trouble is theres nowhere to hang anything but a single line plate on it

I have the clear cover on my LED's on my black curvy and I don't have any complaints except I get a faster than normal blinker now. But that was only because the light only hooked up to one of the prongs in the blinker connector and was grounded through the tail light. I'm sure that's not hard to fix, but it doesn't really bother me, plus the clear light looks great and matches the black and silver of the rest of the bike. edit: My tail light was also designed to be LED with integrated blinkers and not just replacement LED socket bulbs.

They look well smart, unfortunately the lights aren't as bring as you would prefer. Specifically in the daylight, the difference between tail and brake light is minimal and the visibility of the indicators is worse.

You're probably best getting a clear lense and fitting some red bulbs if you want the clear lense look. Otherwise, if you really wanted the led lights, I'd keep a set of indicators also and would consider a seperate line of brake light led's.

Thanks guys, it pretty much sums up what I was thinking too, especially from Soulkiss, apart from going pointy that is, LOL. They look extremely bright when it's night though. I'll probably try a clear lense as the LEDS are RED. But to be honest if they don't 'cut the mustard' as it were I'll go back to standard bulbs. One of the reasons of going LED was to cut the power consumption a little whilst sat at the traffic lights with the brakes on. I was wondering about getting the Philips Gt150 Bulbs for the front. Being in NZ and it being an NZ bike I think the bulbs are 45/55W so I'd like to get a little bit more light from the front end, especially as the mornings are getting dark now(over here, our winter). Well, Guys, thanks again. More comments would be appreciated.
