Default sticky pads

i think that this product exists, but can't find them listed on busters/m&p etc.

I am after a pair of sticky clear pads that will stick on either side of the tank to give me a bit more grip for my knees. someone ages ago suggested that racers use them, but can't find them.

ideas?

You tart

At your age, you should know better, but then again you were a sc**ter rider once

Actually I've seen them in either Busters or Demon Tweaks catalogues - the old fashioned things printed on paper - much easier to search through than web pages, especially if you're lying on your back for a lot of the time

moi, a tart i spend my money on absolutely essential, can't possibly live without them extras like exhausts, suspension and stuff....

and as for the sticky pads - i'm after them for practicality of not slipping than trying to emulate valentino rossi at the wandsworth roundabout.

These look to be a similar item. I know they're not the proper ones but look like they'll do the job

Have a look at California Superbike Schools website,

Keith Code has designed what you are looking for. you can buy a set and book a school day to test them :P

http://www.superbikeschool.co.uk/uk/...gory.php?id=16

These clear tank pads are designed by Stomp with input from Keith Code, Will Eikenberry and Dave Molinari. They help you to lock into your bike better when cornering and braking. They are perfect for better lower body stability and keeping your energy levels high and fatigue levels low.Our School director, Andy Ibbott used them in the USA recently and came back raving;"I used these pads in the US at Phoenix Firebird raceway, a predominantly left handed track. Just 2 days before I arrived there I had slipped off a Super Moto and badly bruised my hip on the right hand side - even walking was difficult. I was due to ride on the second day but a quick 5 laps on the first day showed I couldn't lock into the bike on left handers due to the bruising. However, Keith suggested I use a Stomp Tank Gripper on the bike I was using and see if it helped. I rode ALL DAY! Needless to say I'm convinced this product works. It grips into all the nooks and crannys of your leathers without wrecking them (unlike the sand paper discs I have seen on some bikes...)"We are fitting them to the Lean Bike and to our Hire Bikes so people can see just how well they work. They come in clear (as the above photograph shows) or with the CSS (US) logo on them. They are really easy to attach to the tank just like a big sticker and fit all makes of bikes see detailed llist below:

thanks for your input. i think wheelnuts idea was a good one, but i don't want to look like a sunday superstar! believe me, this is for practicality, not vanity!!

however, I am trying a cheaper alternative which hopefully will work. Have ordered this together with some of it in a gel format which i hope will do the trick.

will update this message once i have tried it to let you know if it's any good.

2nd skin isn't what you want. It's just a clear vinyl patch to protect your paint, it's quite smooth.

I don't see that spray doing much except cover your bike in talc so it smells nice.

The Stompgrip stuff is what you want, made for the job you were asking about. I dunno if you have a pointy, if you do they have a pre-cut one for it. Curvys, you'd have to cut the universal one yourself.

I was thinking about getting some from Demon Tweeks, others on here have said it works well.
