Default 500cc smoker!!

I have always fancied one of these. An RD500, RG500 etc etc ... a mate used to have 500 gamma and it was cool ... but I have never owned one, anyone own or ever owned one!?!?!

I might as well try ... if you currently own one, can I have a go (on a bin it buy it understanding obviously)?!!? I have any bike insurance, sot its all legit!!

Quite rare bikes nowadays tbh, so if you do bin it, you could be looking at a large wad of cash!

There was an RD500 at Poole Quay a few tuesdays ago, it was absoloutly mint.

I'd love something like that sat in the garage for sunny sundays

I have ridden (not owned) both RG and RD500 a lot, it was a long time ago.

They were fast (for the time) and the sound was just awesome (and still would be), I loved riding them but I suspect I love riding modern bikes more (apart from the sound).

I have recently been thinking about getting one, but they are pretty expensive for what they are (circa £3k for RD and £4k RG), expensive to fix when go wrong or crashed due to parts problems, look pretty dated but strangely sexy, and I bet would be a bit of a let down if you finally got one!

However, if you get one, can I have a go please
