Default Stepping ashore...

...in London with the crew.

Yup. Planning a family jaunt to the smoke Octoberish - weekend extravaganza - two nights.

How can you help?

Well, a mate tells me that sometimes there are 2 for 1 offers (or similar) for the London Eye. Just wondered if any of you had seen such an offer and could assist me in navigating towards one of these cost saving schemes/publications/leaflets.

Tried google.

I know some hotels do a the Sleep here/free ticket option but they tend to be premium rate gaffs. I'm looking at more sort of 'gun deck', if you know what I mean.

I can get the train, Plymouth return, 2 adults, 1 nipper for the princely sum of.......£39.30!!! My second cabin boy goes free as he's under 5.

The boss has said we'll be seeing 'The Lion King'...good reviews seemingly. I wanted to see Mary Poppins but you can't have everything.

So...'Eye' tickets/offers anyone?

I'll say thankyou now...just because it's convenient aswell as being a nice thing to do.

Put the kids in a crech and go see Spamalot with the Mrs.
You know it makes nonsense.

Ahoy & welcome to London!

You can get quite a few 2 for 1 offers if you travel in by train - just need to fill in a voucher and show your train tickets. I'm afraid the London Eye doesn't seem to be participating, but there are loads of other places which are.

Details are on the followng link, and you can also pick up leaflets with the vouchers in at SWT stations.

Saying that, and Fizzy is right of course, i know the london eye does do special offers "off season" as it were. If the weather aint all that then obviously you dont get much of a view so they need to fill those pods somehow and do some offers.

Probably worth checking again nearer the time unless the good old Global Warming kicks in properly and its still sunny and warm in October of course.

If the london eye's a few too many dubloons for the time 'o year, there be an alternative!

The Monument allows you and the deck hands to walk up and look out over London, a fair bit cheaper and a propper sense of achievement!
