Hey all,
I had my Sv imported from Germany and saved myself a few quid, but the only problem is that the headlight points up to the right, is there any way I can rectify this? I have tried adjusting the headlights with the screws either side, but it doesn't bring down the right without bringing the left way down and completly useless. Any ideas? ![]() |

Yeah, buy a uk spec unit.
you can get stick on bits to stop you blinding other road users, but these won't pass an MOT,so you'll only get away with it for the first 3 yrs ( the police could stop you at any point though, so be warned). Cheers Mark. (Edit:-Oh just seen you're in Ireland, not sure what the rules are over there ????)

I had to change my headlight unit when I came back to the UK, try some breakers and ebay for spares, but they can be pricey as they're often broken/scratched in crashes.

So is it the reflective mirrors I would have to change or the whole front unit? |

Whole headlight unit I'm afraid, start trawling the breakers, or maybe one of the track boys on here might have one??

The high bit to the left that you're missing won't help you see the ditch, only road signs. So definetly cheaper to play about with black tape to mask the correct bit. Last edited by Stu; 20-07-07 at 01:12 PM. |

you will also need to check the wiring loom - the UK spec bikes have twin headlamps that illuminate, the euro bikes have single beam lamps and an unhelpfully different wiring loom.

Sorry, dont get you? Do you mean on the euro models one is for dips and the other for high beam?
If so, both of my headlamps light up when on dips and high beam. |
