erm... stand bike upright (use another person to hold it if necessary)

hook stand hooks on bobbins

push stand handle to floor

in Homer's words 'stand goes down, bike goes up, stand goes down, bike goes up'

Removal from stand is a reversal of the lifting process.

best way i saw someone do my bike quickly in a garage on his own was he left the sidestand out lifted the bike almost straight little to the left incase it goes hold the rear wheel in place, locate the hooks with the bobbins and the rest is as WRC63 says.

I always prop the bike up on a block of wood/half brick to stand it up straighter before i start... You can put it in gear or tie the brake lever to stop it rolling, too. Remember it's not about strength, you want to use balance and your body weight to lift it. I always say this, but I could do it after I broke my hip, when i wasn't allowed to bear weight on my right leg, and I was using crutches while lifting the bike

That's basically how I do it... lift it vertical, locate hooks, lift.

Beware, having the front brake on will make the bike much harder to get on the stand!!

That only lasts a few seconds (then ends) for me? You hear "this is how to do it" and then the end, lol.

Btw I do it the same as everyone else, but it's not so easy to hold my bike up straight (I don't have a handle and I don't like grabbing the tail tidy - it might break!).

I stand on the sidestand side of the bike, near the rear wheel. I put the bike on the side stand and roll the paddock stand up to it, locating the lower bobbin in its hook. I then lift the bike up straight using my weight and keeping the paddock stand hook around the bobbin. Of course then both bobbins go in, and I basically have the bike held up with the paddock stand (but not off the ground yet, I am just cushioning it and keeping it upright with the stand).

Then I can just stand behind it and lift the bike up on to it. For getting it off, I do something similar where I lower it to the ground and keep it cushioned, and then remove the paddock stand and let it "fall" towards me, landing on the paddock stand (I cushion this fall with my body, too).

Lengthy description but HTH

Well that was a bust!

Seems photobucket can't hold video of any length.

Live and learn.

am i the only person that slots the hooks over the bobbins while the bike is on it's side stand? then pull upright, check they're still in there and then lift by pushing the stand down?
