Summer is here! it's 20 odd degrees and I'm going to get quite smelly in the leathers.
For my trip (46 days remaning... can't wait!) I want to get a very thin mesh jacket that I can wear during the warmest part of the day. Can anyone recommend an online store that has a decent enough mesh jacket? Nothing overly pricy or overly fancy. I would use google and froogle, but our IT department (clever biscuits they are) have blocked google and froogle |

I have a Joe Rocket Phoenix 4.0.
Is pretty good and well rated by many people. Removable liner, had it on yesterday up the M40 - was nice and cool. Not sure of the price but EVERY shop sells them - got mine @ Infinity, but sure that HG etc have them David |

I tried to get hold of Collin Collins but no reply from host
![]() I think they are gone. I saw the forcefield shirt here, but I have no idea how good that is, and i dubt it will zip in to my leather trousers, but for nice day riding it might be okay (as long as you put something over it so you don't look like an action hero wannabe) |

I have the forcefield armoured knickers which are good, but both these items offer not supposed to be used on there own. There just a good way to keep armour in place, and offer no abbrasion resistance as such.

I've got a Spada mesh jacket- yeah, I know, not that useful in Scotland, but it was cheap and it was really sunny the day I went to the bike show- and I'm fairly impressed with it. I performed a simple check- looked at my scuffed leathers and found that everywhere the leathers are marked, there's solid material not mesh. Proper armour too. I don't kid myself that it'll be as protective as real gear but it's better than riding in a t-shirt.
