Default ticking/rattle begins at just over 4000rpm

Good morning all,

yesterday during a ride I noticed my bike seemed to produce a kind of ticking/clicking rattle type noise. The sound seemed to dissipate above say 5500rpm, perhaps muffled a bit by the wind and ambient sounds. From listening it appears the sound is coming from the motor of the bike or at least that area of the machine.
I can't recall hearing this "clicky" sound before and it only manifests itself when the revs broach the 4000 mark. I haven't found anything in the search to ally my worries so has anyone on here a similar rattle/clicking noise and is it something I need to worry about/get looked at or can I ride on and ignore it? Thanks.

DUB.
