I'd put, "Test rides are welcome provided I have £XXXX in cash in my hand whilst you are out on the bike."

I'd explain where the scuff came from (if it was something 'favourable' like a car door, drop off the sidestand etc.), if it was a higher speed drop, I'd keep quiet (about how it was caused) and let them ask. Mention that it has never been raced (provided it hasn't). A lot of the mags cite the popularity minitwins as proof that a lot of SVs have been raced, even if in reality it's only a small proportion and it could put a cautious buyer off.

I'd maybe rephrase the "i have owned this bike for just over a year, & its a great first bike (i have just upgraded)" as it could be interpreted as you had it for a year (as your first bike) then got bored of it and upgraded. I'd also not advertise the fact you've only had it for one year, personally. Instead, why not copy and paste something from a review in a magazine, you know the usual stuff they say about the SV:
"Unintimidating for new riders and an ideal first big bike, yet at the same time with more than enough performance to ensure more experienced riders are entertained by it."

HTH.

Looks alright Hovis, too much information and it appears boring, so a nice short ad like that is good. I'm assuming your putting the mileage and age of the bike at the top of the ebay add?

Can't think of much to add that hasnt been mentioned, obviously have a look at other sv sales or bike sales on ebay and maybe state a deposit amount.

You don't need to put the Colour or thats it's Half faired, as They'll see the photos...
all the rest of the blurb is good,
Make sure you start your starting price at what is the very minimum of what you want for her.
and when you do sell her tell the person about the site, so you'll get chance to see her again...

Have you checked out the start price for the equivalent bike ?
if you start yours too high then it wont sell.

just a thought.
