Anybody know for a decent one.
My brothers having oil pressure problems on his Millie, he's measured the pressure and its half what it should be at idle. Being a mechanic he's taken it apart and a couple of the re-circulating rotors in the pump are scored as is the drive on the crank, so he thinks that at some point the bikes been run with low oil level or its been on its side with the engine running. He's replaced the scored oil pump rotors and fired it up and the pressure is up but the oil pressure warning light is still coming on at idle, if he gives it more beans, the light goes out at 2000 rpm and theres plenty of pressure there then. He's a bit stuck and I said I'd ask on here if anybody knows where to go for more help or has any advice. Ta

If the rotors are scored it sounds as if it has had metal running through with the oil. Check the filter and see if there is any metal fragments in there. There could be something breaking up inside the motor. The worse case scenario I know but it's fairly easily checked.
