They're not that dear to buy and I've heard insurance is cheaper than the Sv?

My Dad tried one last week. Said the handling was great but even for a single the engine was gutless.

Pretty much the same as the SLR, Dominator NX650, Vigor and some other names. A freind has one of the models, the bits are fairly interchangable. The frame has stayed basicly the same over the years with minor modifications to the shock/swingarm/forks/engine etc etc which can usaly all be swapped around..

I always have a problem getting my leg over - not normally allowed (ask the missus)!!

So are you saying the FMX is no good for a short fat bloke like me then? I have tried a couple of other supermoto style bikes and needed a ladder, I had been told the FMX was a bit shorter.

Well, i'm not fat and not too short but still had a problem holding bike
and swinging leg over so cancelled the purchase which was a good thing
cos I then found the SV.

Maybe I should go and sit on one and see, they just look like good fun for commuting on.

I don't really get time to use my bike for much more than that so I don't really need the top end speed.
