Default Enough room to store decent chain?

Newbie here. Passed yesterday and bought an SV650 today! Being delivered later in the week and I'm wondering what to do about security.

I've read some of the posts advising on disc locks and chains, but couldn't find anything about space to store the chain. Suzuki gb quotes "compartment large enough to store a U-lock and a clock" - sorry for being dopey but will a 1.5m chain fit, and what do they mean by storing a clock under the seat??

pointy, under the seat is a decent size you should get a chain and lock under there.

the storage on a curvy (1999-2003) is better, but you should fit a decant chain in the pointy, depending on weather an alarm or scottoiler res has been fitted there

Do you have the standard undertray or a replacement? Reason I ask is that most of the replacements aren't as strong as the original one, so a heavy chain can be too much for them once it starts getting bounced around. I knocked my old undertray right out of the bike after a series of speed bumps

I've had 2 chains + padlocks and a disk lock under my pointy seat, does make the front a little light though

Better than the Honda, can just about squeeze a packet of (10) fags under there

I thought the space under the seat was poor. Surprised you can get a chain in there.

loadsa underseat space on a curvy. I got a d-lock, a chain, a toolkit, a stand puck thingy, a disc-lock under there.

And room for a neckwarmer

My dads gixer just about takes a glove.
