i am referring to the soft, large, in the body contained, rebound oil release spring (excuse me if redundant).
if you calculate the area of maximun oil passage in the emu, it comes equal to two 9,5mm or four 7.5mm holes. In my gpz500, with 14mm or so rod inner diameter, had to use separator ring to have the 5mm clearance between the blocking nut in the downside of the emu and the inside of the damper rod top

My racetechs are 11.5mm just for info, I just thought the cheaper ones were bigger.

I didn't cut my spacers down either but left the preload on fully unwound. Not had a chance to test it yet.

Also not yet got round to checking sag, must get round to doing that.

I sooo want to sort the back end out
