I can't for the life of me imagine being paid what some of them are, however short term their employment might be, but I just felt that it's a point worth making.

Personally I wouldn't notice if we stopped having football tomorrow, except the traffic would be lighter round the stadiums.

Edit, oh and apparently we'd have less chromed supercars, which would clearly be a loss to humanity

I'm with you on this mate.

And as for the car itself...i was lucky enough to get driven around in one by a client a few years ago What an experience that was!!!!

which just says it all for me. What a bunch of namby pamby............grrrr, I can't even think of a word to describe my derision of them all.

And, having thought about it, I did see some odd wrinkles in the finish on the car, and I doubt the bumpers are metal either!

Pete
Couldn't you have knicked him on some Construction or Use - isnt that "finish" distracting to other road users/cause blinding from reflected headlights?

Obviously if there was a "Operating a vehicle while being a Chav" you would have had him bang to rights

They are assets and get paid as much as their 'owners' feel they are worth. As long as they bring in fans, merchandise sales, investment etc etc etc then, yes, they are worth every penny. It's the same with the numerous sponsorship deal they get. If it wasn't a sound, profitable investment for what ever brand pays them, the deals wouldn't happen.

Oh and the car? A bit too much really.

With McLaren just down the road in woking you get so see some rather nice examples of these babies around here, and quite a few in london. I haven't seen a McLaren F1 yet though.

However, the biggest ferrari garage in the south used to be in the trading estate behind my work. Come spring you could see enzos, F-50, F-40, all sorts of 360 & 430 along with some of the front engine models doing the small test run between the garage and the petrol station besides my office. It's right by a national speed like and the engines got exercised properly.

It was a shame when the garage burnt down and they moved on somewhere else.

Prefer the car in it's normal guise of silver, but nice to show off if you got it I suppose.

Hate football myself & yes they are overpaid, but if someone offered me £120,000 a week pay, I wouldn't say no
