Whereabouts are ye? Lancashire is a big county. You can borrow mine if you get the timing right, but it's a K3 and I think the footpegs and subframe are different to the other pointies.

Definitely descent chain adjuster plates. In order to stop mine from twisting and scratching the swingarm I tighten two small G clamps on each side of the plates. A pain in the **** but at least it does the trick. Good quality aftermarket adjusters are available for other bikes like the GSXR but not for the SV. Its about time somebody came up with descent adjusters for the SV!

As you mention the problems occur with the chinese manufactured levers which are cheap and nasty, but the saying goes you get what you pay for. I personally would not buy any cheap levers of any description they are your only way of stopping quickly and if they fail then thats a big problem. I cannot set up for making levers, i dont think there is a big wnough market for them to justify the outlay, it is already a flooded market with parts ranging from terrible to brilliant. Just keep your originals or buy the best you can afford. |

+ 1 on the adjustable peg plates (adjustable up, down and back) (Valter Motos sell for £44 ish). These will also need the shift rod extension included I guess.
My further thoughts of things what I might buy if they looked nice and the price was good: Nice simple exhaust hanger Stand bobbins Small rack to bolt in place of grab handle Number plate/rear indicator bracket Or, perhaps a pipe dream, but a multistrada-esque low level single sided hugger that you can attach a sticky number plate to, so you can remove all of plate bracket gubbins, and tidy up the indicators somehow. Have a '99 naked, live over the hill in Halifax (not sure where you are in Lancs) and happy to drop in if you need measurements in exchange for a cuppa. However, my old bus obviously has some different measurements than the newer stuff, and I imagine the newer bikes will be where your market is at. |

A rear wheel hugger would also go down a treat.

I think the adjustable pegs are a defo' now. I have someone who is lending me your model year bike and we will make them for all years. I think fully adjustable is the way to go rather than set 1" up and 1" back only. |
