Well, the page isnt loading for me, but from that picture is looks like yamaha and honda have been sharing one vital component:

The HRC/Yamaha Racing Ugly tree.

Instructions of use; put last years pretty motorcycle at top, and push off branch. Make sure you push it in such a direction that it hits every branch on the way down.

Ensure bike lands on nose fairing to give it that final flat-faced look.

And there you have it, your next-gen 1L superbike.

Why do all these new-fangles bikes look crossed eyed? The new ZX10 has this butt-uly look as well. Are the designers blind? They need some lessons from the Italians about how to make pretty bikes.

To be honest I think it doesn't look that bad, but this is because it's not that dramatically different to the current model - really just the headlights & exhausts (and the exhausts - again not that different anyway - will be coming off). Headlights, yeah not my favourite, but the only down side. And they could have been a lot different - they've only taken the covers off, pretty much!

The pictures are taken from ground level and always look bad. In the flesh I think all of the 08 bikes look gorgeous

Isn't Big Bang just a way to turn an IL4 into a twin? Are there any advantages of a Big Bang IL4 over a v-twin?

It looks FUGLY!! full stop. And its tiny by the look of it. WTF is it with the Japs shrinking bikes year on year. Do they not realise people are getting fatter not smaller.

Before much longer you are going to look stupid riding a litre sports bike due to its dimensions.
I love the R1, bur wont be buying a 09 one, would rather buy a second hand 08 model, at least its a decent sized bike.

If they keep shrinking these bikes how long before the effect is felt in their wallet as more and more people get a bike they can actually fit on.
