Have to disagree with you on this...

I saw the bike at 06h20 at the lights on the A13 at the ship & shovel pub this morning. Rider in full yamaha leathers, helmet, etc. heading toward the big smoke pulled up next to me. Sounds a bit dull with the standard cans at idle revs but a lot nicer when caning it from the lights. I would imagine that with a full set of Yoshi/Akro's on the back it would sound awesome(circa '05 BSB bike)

The new R1 seems to have a firing order the same as the tourer VFR750's so will sound very sweet!

IL4 screamer (standard) is 180°/180°/180°/180° (hence the dull sound)

New R1 is (apparently) 180°/270°/180°/90°

VFR750 is 180°/270°/180°/90° So the same...

Have i got poor taste or something? - I think that looks beautiful in white with the red frame. Looks like i'm the only one though.

I always liked it - I don't understand when people say they like the '08 but not the '09...it looks pretty much the same!

What's different? Shorter exhaust...different headlights...err, that's it? It's really quite similar to me....

Look at the side profiles of the 08 and the 09, they look very different. Probably only a few changes here and there, but enough to radically change the overall look of the bike. Well, for me anyway.
