don't get to hung up about the shape of the bar, it's only purpose is to hold the seat/cowl 'hook' in place. there are apps that tell you what unfinished length your looking for and any engineer that does forming will tell you in about 2 min.
i looked into doing these and come to the conclusion that instead of adding the returns at the ends and ease of manufacture i would supply 2 large washers under the bolts to make the hight up. if you make the brackets out of heavier gauge material you can just punch/drill and tap the fixing points for the infill's. i was going to use lighter material then use the stud gun and well nuts. I am going to use much lighter material as like you said it is only holding a piece of plastic on, that said I want it to be strong enough so that it wont bend, working on 3 different guages at the moment, final design is still a long way away. infills easy just a tap away ![]() so far demand is quite low... so this might be avail on request... everything is being made from scratch by hand not farmed out to china ![]() |

it all depends on how much it'll cost you to make them, if its costing you next to nothing to say make 15 at a time then you could sort everyone out with a cheaper price whereas if its costing you a fair bit and you dont get much interest then obviously you'll need to put a better price

well prices are approx at the moment, its the plastic infill bit that is gonna cost the money.... the bracket 'should' be fairly cheap... the metal brake to make it tho....
i think i will do what I can to help the org out, even if it is just the bracket to start with... will see how it goes. |
