I picked up a 4gb card from work, first thing I did when I got mine; it's not a really high quality camera but it means I only really have to worry about battery life.

See what cards it takes, if it don't like micro sd then you can get adapters which is bound to be cheaper than a new card (although they aren't expensive now). Only problem is if it can only read cards upto a certain capacity.

good idea, might be worth starting a thread as I doubt there'll be flocks but it's the best way to get the wheels in motion.

Hmmm.. I'm so tempted for one but I wonder if I'll use it and then get bored of it, lol.

Oh the decisions...

Don't get deluded into thinking these cameras are only good for the bike. There's normally a mains lead for these so you could use it as a security camera. Or stick it in the window of the car just in case the unfortunate was to happen. There's all different things these cameras could be used for.

No mains lead for the Vholdr, and although I haven't played with it properly yet, it doesn't seem to be easy to set up as a tethered camera on your computer.

The fisheye effect from the lens is also quite pronounced at the edges...

I have had a little think and might leave it until all the snow disappears and then decide on one or not...

Yeah but they will be expensive plus the ContourHD can only take a max of 16Gb, lol

BTW

I've bought a nice new Contour HD 1080p! WHOOP! Hopefully it will come early next week and I can have a play.

I will be writing a review and showing off all my videos,

Where do you guys mount your cameras? Especially the "big" all in ones like the Countours? For the smaller bullet cameras do you use/trust the small sucker mounts they sell on Dogcam? Would always try and tether it but in some locations this would be difficult.

I want a cheap system, cant justify something too expensive for the use I would make of it. Thinking of a simple ATC3K because then I can take it snorkelling, mountain biking and other activities as well. Like the look of the AT-1 but no good for the snorkeling as whilst the bullet camera is waterproof the recorder is not, I dont suppose anyone knows of a system capable of going down to 30m for when i go diving?
