Right - have some free time on this birthday morning to fiddle with the camera (CVLS-DV20).

I've played with it away from the bike, and so far I'm impressed. The build quality seems good, easy to operate, comes with a very enjoyable comic book (engrish manual), and it's definitely not as big as I thought it would be. The video quality at walking pace is very good. I also like how easy it is to download the video files. It basically acts as a memory stick and all you do it plug it in and copy the .avi files to hard drive - simples. The supplied mounting points are pretty poor I must say, and it's looking like I may end up using gaffa tape to secure it somewhere. The helmet strap does fit, but I don't want it mounted on my helmet.

I should have some on-bike footage later this afternoon!

Well, just got back from my ride. The sound is pretty much pointless as the wind noise just overwhelms the engine noise. The way I mounted it hasn't really worked and there is far too much vibration evident in the movie. As I'm not happy with the mounting/vibration I won't bother uploading the movie just now, but attached a screenshot.

EDIT: It looks better when watching, and the sploges etc is just my dirty screen.

Has anyone got any experience of making their own mounts for bullet cams? I can't seem to figure out a good way to mount mine1

Does it have a screw for a tripod mounting? If so you could do something like this?

Seen it done very effectively on a naked with a peice of plumbing pipe, a T joint so you clap to the bars and then mount the camera to the top of it.
Somthing similar but to another part of your bike as its faired could work perhaps??

[Edit] beaten to it ^^

Sadly, no screw mount. It's a bullet cam, but appears to be fatter than any of the bullet cam mounts on the market!

I use the mounting bracket from my tomtom. No vibration and sticks really well.

For anyone that is interested; I have made a mount using a "twist n go" suction cup with the bar end attachments from tesco (meant to be for use in the bathroom) for my helmet to mount my MD80 clone on, there is a lot less vibration. Video link below:
