The coast is littered in campsites, but I think Al's option would be more suited to a group of adult bikers, if we want to be nearer the coast. Camping holidays are very popular in France and if you look at most of the campsites along the coast they are essentially water parks and childrens entertainment complexes.

Other possibilities further north in case Al's campsite can't/won't take us.

Are these the sort of water parks where you ride your bike in, realise it's deeper than you first thought and then have to have help getting the bike out again, with quite a lot of swearing, which serves as children's entertainment and also makes the rest of us laugh? If so, sounds perfect!

Had a bit of a google streetview mooch around Creully where the trois rivieres campsite is, and it's quite a nice wee town as north of France standards go, it's also about a 1km walk to the centre from the campsite, which has shops, bakers for morning croissants, cafe's and pubs. It looks like the best campsite if they will have us.

Me too

The campsite emailed me back and if my limited french translation was correct, they were asking if we would be requiring motorhomes.

I forgot to say we would be camping i think so with the aid of google translate, ive emailed back and told them it would be tents all round

Hopefully you don't have a translation fail and end up saying we are all camp, they might get the wrong idea......

This is the reply i got just now...
Bonjour,
Le prix est de 237.30€ pour les 3 nuits avec 15 personnes sans électricité ou bien 275.10€ avec électricité.
Si le prix vous convient renvoyez moi un mail de confirmation pour que je puisse vous réserver les emplacements.
Cordialement
Mme TROUILLOT

Google translated as dont know all the words but you can work out most of it tbh.

Hello,

The price is € 237.30 for 3 nights with 15 people without electricity or € 275.10 with electricity.

If the price is right for you send me a confirmation email so I can book you the locations.

cordially

Ms. TROUILLOT

So basically i thinks its about 5 euros a night each

Phil
