Do the cleats wedges help with leg size descerepencies?

I'm sure because my right leg is shorter and extends futher, then I get sore in my inner thigh, because my left side tips more on the saddle.

Most folks legs are different in length, but my legs quite a bit different in length. Which also has caused my spine to develop a curve, and would explain my lack of upper body flexibility

If I was sitting and peddalling equally, would I notice any improvement in comfort?

What kind of shoes were you wearing, trainers or proper cycling shoes.

Clipless or toe clips

The way I've set my saddle height is to measure my inside leg (in cm) to the floor in socks and then times by 0.885

so for my inseam my saddle height is 75.5cm from the centre of the bottom bracket to the top of the saddle following the line of the seat tube.

Everyone has their preferred method of working out their saddle height, but this worked for me.

If you're pushing a big gear that will make you knee hurt, so spin a smaller gear rather than push a gear thats too big. Its the most common thing I see when I pass cyclists

If one knee hurts, then maybe its not as strong as the other leg. Perhaps one leg is slightly longer than the other. My right is shorther than the left.

Get the saddle height set to the correct height first, its the most fundamental position on the bike.
Hmm - interesting. I have just been out and measured my saddle height on the road bike and I have it set at 40mm too high, which might explain why my hip gives me grief after a ride.

After cycling for 30 years, it looks like I still have a lot to learn!

I'll drop it down a bit and see if it helps

Don't take my word for it Matt, I've used the formula out of Bernard Hinault's road racing, technique & training

Do a couple of google checks on how to set your saddle height. The results will vary.

If you do drop it, do it bit by bit, so your muscles adjust to the new position

Not bought the bike yet, but am tempted by this:

Better than the others I was looking at?

Looks OK, 105 10 speed, Pinnarello are a decent brand. £2000 bike new sounds about right when new.

The shop you are looking at buying it from is 5 minutes from my house. They have a very good reputation in the local area so no worries on that front if you were concerned about buying it via ebay.

Personally if the size is right for you and you like the colour then go for it, spec is pretty good IMHO.

Yep, my mate in NZ has a Pinnarello and he rates it, plus Team Sky ride them, although theirs are the Dogma.

I like the colour too, not too much white

Well I'm going to sound a little down on this... Not that the Pinarello is not a good bike - it is.

However when I was looking I looked at the same bikes as you (Pino, Ribble, Planet-x, Boardman) and tried them all for size / fit. I found the Pino to have a very low front end, not comfortable for me for the length of time I'd be riding it. I would get yourself on one in a bike shop before making a decision to buy.

That sums my week up.

Hurt my ribs at work last week, so have't been sleeping well, then my youngest picks up a nasty bug (38.8 deg temp!) and with my wife on early shifts, even more interupted sleep.

So surfice to say, I only got out today for the first time in this glorious weather and not feeling my best.

But to cap it all, ordered a Fizik saddle & some energy fuel from Wiggle yesterday, only to get an email today with 15% off purchases over £50

What's the main difference between simano 105 and ultegra, apart from the cost?
