New helmet and goggles. Sweet

Ordered a Gopro 960 off of Amazon, they are out of stock though so no doubt like everything I buy for my bike there will be a many week wait. (seriously, what is it with the waiting for parts!?).

Erm, well the goggles are separate from your mouth so this shouldn't be an issue anyway. Or you mean pull off the goggles then blow in and run outside? (cant see the point of the later though).

The point I am getting at is this , the heat from your mouth will be deflected back into the goggles area , the goggles will have cooler air hitting them on a run , what can sometimes happen is that they can steam up a little , sometimes quite badly , and the time you don`t want that to happen is part way through a fast run on a treacherous section . The heat from your forehead can also steam them up , I`ve even known goggles to steam up when removed from the person and dangled on the bars .

Oh best see about testing them soon. Was planning on getting out with it for a quick blag about the local woods in the mud to see how they perform.

Will let you know.

Ok Feller , this is the time of year when it is likely to happen and toward Autumn , the height of Summer it will be too warm so not as much of an issue then . I should imagine the lid is well vented anyway , so hopefully you have a good air flow through it all to drag it all away . Another point to mention is that when you stop riding .... take the goggles away from your head as they will steam up , hang them on the bars or something , once you get going again they will steam a little , so put them on and get going right away to get air flow going through them ..... a thin smear of washing up liquid rubbed into the lenses can help reduce it a bit .... but beware on rainy days , you can be treated to a display of small stinging bubbles inside the goggles if you get it near the vents

Yep! Watching people put their goggles on then stand in the queue for race starts is quite funny, by the time they get to the line they're blind. Even better is pulling them down over the vent on the front of the helmet, that mists them up double fast. Mine are pretty damn good (Oakley Crowbars) but they'll still mist up if you provoke them.

Keep them dry if it's raining too, water inside the goggles is a good way to steam them up. Stick under your jersey while pushing up/standing around.
