Don't forget to wear a crash helmet when you show him, set a good example.

Cool present Scoobs

I never had any cool bikes when I was a kid, not until my BIL gave me his old Dawes racer.

My brother had a cool Raleigh Chopper

The burner I had was the first cool bike, but it was a poverty spec one, i.e. the base model and I got some stick for it. It was red with yellow pads and tyres and I loved that bike.

I recently sold a reissue gold ultra burner. With Skyway Tuff 2 mags on it. Lovely looking bike, had a blue and yellow one as a child.

A few miles this morning and then a 10 miler tonight. Feels so fast. Like riding with a constant tailwind. Ride comfort is excellent, smooths out all the road vibrations and copes with the cr*ppy road surface around here beautifully.

Pretty happy with riding position now I have flipped the stem to. Its responsive, but not overly twitchy like my Van Nic was.

Bought myself another winter hack bike today, or a donnor bike for its components.

Saw it in my local paper, Raliegh Ultimate £100 complete bike

Ultegra 9 speed sti's
Mavic MA2 on Tigra hubs
Sora Chainset
Tigra front & rear mech
Continental tyres
SHimano Spd pedals
Ad said it had Ultegra brakes, but unfortunately not, but dual pivot all the same.

Frame is aluminium, with carbon forks, incl seat post, saddle, stem & handlebars

All the above was hardly used

Didn't get it for £100, as it would have been a steal at that price, but for £160 I got all the bits to throw on my other frame, plus a few bits to sell. I was going to buy some wheels and other bits to build up another frame I have, but now I don't need to.

I couldn't have bought these items seperately for the money I paid for this complete bike, so I'm happy.

Or make up a cyclocross bike with the spares
