Legs were aching this morning, but I cycled anyway (did elect the flat route though) enjoyed it all the same!

My brother told me and warned me not to watch the live coverage as it was quite unsettling. I saw a photo in the paper today, nothing distasteful but definitely one to ponder.

RIP fellow cyclist.

Luckily I wasn't watching it live, as I'd gone to collect the kids, I only caught the end of the broadcast with David Harmons comments.

Then I clicked on the news.

Such a sad day today watching the start today, as bad as when Casatelli died in the Tour.

There seem to have been quite a few bad accidents in the Giro over the last couple of years, which hasn't been the case in the Tour?

I havent been watching the Giro coverage. Is there an evening show with highlights ? I can only imagine what todays stage was like. I still remember when Casatelli died.

Been out tonight again, suffering a bit with my back. Especially when climbing, think I over did it on Sunday. But found a good loop now with some decent climbs in it, elevatin graph doesnt look particularly flat, but the big lump in the middle is a complete b*stard to get up.

Yes there was live coverage and highlights tonight, although it was showing as MCE British Superbikes on the SKY EPG

Same as the Casatelli stage and I'm afraid I had a lump in my throat and a tear in my eye at the end of the stage.

The only thing that helps, is that the pathologist said he died instantly from the fall.

But it doesn't help that much i'm afraid
