No point me buying anything too good, as it'd never get the same use as my road bikes in the flat lands on the East Coast.

Mountains are one thing we don't have in abundance here

It doesn't seem to come up on my map which is a bit carp. I'm going to go for a slow bimble around on Monday or Tuesday morning so I will mark up my map then and post it up for you.

Saturday 28th April, Swinley Forest MTB ride out?
It's exactly 4 weeks today so plenty of time to plan it etc.

I'm starting to know my way around (ish)but have most of the runs marked on my GPS so can go to the main spots for anyone who has never been. Best to start early on weekends so I would say 0900-1000 would be best.

I'm not a hardcore downhill nutter and I'm on a little hard tail so don't be scared.
Just an idea, haven't been on a big group ride in ages and it's always a laugh.

So who's in :

WINDER

Might be worth posting a separate thread to gather interest from people that don't look in here and so it doesn't get lost within the posts.

Also could someone please tell me I don't need this wallet, as I don't really need it but it's calling to me with it's organised compartments and everything has it's place idealogy.

Chicksands on a new MTB after having not ridden a push bike for a while will certainly be a giggle or do they have some tame stuff there?

Last time I was there the XC courses were so mashed they wernt worth riding, and the rest of it wouldn't be a good introduction lol

A fast flowy trail centre is what you want, that will leave you craving the bigger stuff.

There has been a lot of work down there recently.
The 4x course is a little rutted in places but now the place is really drying out, it's getting nice and fast again
There's little else worth riding round here unless you like spending lots of time in the air but as a new rider... Probably not just yet!
Shame really as there is a really good bit of "converted" woodland in the same village as Chris..

Chicksands eh! Well I'm up for whatever! I'm daft enough to throw myself into anything haha

Hopefully I'll have the bike Monday. I usually finish work about 4 ish so will knob about getting used to it.

I heard there was something in my village was going to take a look at some point with the bike.
