Hi,
I've been lurking on the forum saw the MTB thread. I'm a biker going the other way (done loads of the pedal powered stuff looking to get a little more oomph). I have a few sets of spare bars lying around. Some olds cool red downhill bars to narrow flats to some unused uber pimp carbon jobs. |

In fact thinking about it, I think I have enough spare bits to build an entirely new bike. Just.

Had a wee ride on the bike this evening. Just around the dog run. Have a very small trail through the woods to ride. Had a bit of fun. Dogs quite happy to run in front.
Have got Friday off so will probably go for a long ride along the canal or summat. First thing I'd like to do it get an adaptor for my front caliper and get a 185mm disc for the front. Would like a bit more from the front. Doesn't need doing urgently though it certainly isn't bad. Just ive got a proper fast long downhill at my door down to the dog run.

Im about on Friday if you want some company.
Don't worry about changing bits too much on the bike yet, let the brakes bed in, get used to the way the bike feels and then start thinking about bits. |

TBH you'll probably find that once it's bedded in, you run out of grip before you run out of brake.

Fair enough, I'll leave alone for now. Hopefully having a steep hill to ride up right outside the house will get me bike fit quicker.
