Only want a few small strips, maybe inch wide and three inch long.
I want something to use for rub patches on the bike.

Thought you may have some kicking about I could buy off you.

After mastiles lane I decided I'm gonna do a 10-15 minute blast before the trails just to get all fired up
Mate, the first couple of miles are pretty flat and is a very thin technical section with some rock gardens, some fun drops etc and is a good warm up......actually a good start. Unlike Llandegla that starts with 3 or so miles of uphill. Lol.

Seriously pal, really dont worry bout it.......the drops all have areas so you can go round.....you can go as fast or as slow as you want. As long as you have fun thats all that matters. There is no competativeness with us bunch......just the laughs from the occasional crash or close calls.

Binky from on the forum went round the whole place on a no suspension 1980's hybrid bike.....he trashed it.....but still enjoyed it and was ahead of me most of the day.

1980's hybrid, now that sounds like fun! No bolt from Mavic yet, bloody RM, so will attempt a bodge tomorrow night if there's still nothing. Oh and I'd better take it for a quick spin round the block to make sure everything doesn't fall apart
