Ah, really? So it's you that keeps putting those adverts in the mags saying you have SLX cranks for £69.99! How long is it since you put your prices up? Cheeky!
(Did they actually sell any at all at £424 incidentally? It's a good buy at £300 but XCM and Alivio on a £400+ bike! That ain't ever right)

A technical question on forks?
I am looking for an upgrade, currently got a set of Rockshox Recon 351s on an 06 Orange 5. I reckon I want to go upto 140mm travel to slacken the head angle a bit, then also because there is alot of climbing over here and road riding I think adjustable travel is needed. Trying to keep fairly lightweight as I have to pedal up before going down and also I wont be in Italy forever so it will be back to the Peaks and UK trail centres. Budget choices would be: Marzocchi XC600 Manitou Minute Favourite ideas Fox Float Rockshox Revelation Is anyone using these? I have heard that the Foxs suffer from stanchion wear. I dont mind servicing the forks every 6 months or so but this is not meant to be enough for the foxs. And then with the rockshox should I get a maxle? the recons seem fairly stiff so this might not be needed. On top of all the decision making there are the horrendous price hikes of bikes and components going on at the moment. |

Think that went up last month, a absolute killer to do. Bike prices went up 20% at the start of the product year of 2009 so everything seems either over priced or under spec'd. |

I've been out on the bike today, about 8-10 miles in total. Nice and muddy in parts but i really think i do need some suspension on the front though!
![]() Sun was out to start and then towards the end of the ride the temperate seemed to drop and some sleety/snow briefly on the way back on the road. I have this around 25mins ride away ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

It was a nice run compared to sunday, less walkers and only saw one other bike today.
I'll get you up there don't you worry! I love the place though, you can do a 50mile ride without riding the same patch twice, now thats a killer of a ride! |
