I upload straight from Garmin to Strava. Hadn't looked at any of my data since I got it - it went back to January 2011 and showed me average speeds, mileages etc.

Nifty site.

Oprah Tweeted that 'He was prepared' for the interview, so I guess he won't say as much as he should have.

Typical Lance, damage limitation

Mav, strava will accept Garmin data if you want to use it.

Sent from my phone.
Just uploaded all the data that is currently stored on my Garmin

I was 9th fastest on one climb in the Alps!

I think there is a link to the strava group either in this thread or even in its own thread.

http://app.strava.com/clubs/sv650-org

While i'm here, does anyone know the address for continental so I can send one of my knackered tyres back, I think they might want to look at it!

How easy would it be to turn my Focus Cayo into a single speed bike? How expensive?

Or should I just sell the cayo and buy a fixie?

Not sure how much I really need the gears, I suspect I use them because they are there and as I am a bit of a kit killer, perhaps removing the components might make fiscal sense.

I got a fixie from Tredz - specialized langster £400 fantastic bike, they even fitted brakes free of charge!

I have done some of our hillier rides in essex no problem - although it does come with a pretty big gear standard. They are cheap though!

I like my fixie to look at, but to ride it not so much. I live in a reasonably hilly area and it gives my legs a proper work out, but after a winters worth of commuting on it I've had enough of it.

I'm being unfair I'm comparing it with my LOOK and I shouldnt...

As for less maintenance, IMHO only slighty less. It still needs cleaning and looking after, albeit the drive chain takes less time to clean, but it still needs doing.

I'd rather have a geared bike and have the extra maintenance than a single speed, particularly if the single speed was my only bike...

Other cycling news, My garmin detatched itself from its mount on the way home tonight and by the time I realised what had happened it had been run over by a car... bye bye Edge 305 you served me welll...
