Can I suggest we do the no spoilers thing again so that people dont find out the stage result before the highlights program has gone out on ITV4 ?

Yes, no spoilers

Just been setting up my Tacx I-Magic turbo trainer, its got some basic virtual reality rides in the software, but I'm going to need some proper rides for the authentic virtual reality climbing training.

But even on a test ride the resistance increased as the slope increased, pretty cool I thought

Lol, very tempting to have a go, not sure I'd wipe he floor, but as you say you're competing against yourself, anything else is a bonus

****ed it!

What an Absolutely bloody brilliant day/event/acheivment.
Garmin measured it at 50.4mile, my target was to finish in under 3 hours and average 17mph... i smashed it!
Pulled over the line 2hrs 25min 11seconds averaged over 21mph
Out of our 5 I finished first, 1whole second in front of Wayne who is the lad who encouraged me to entry.

So...wheres the next one I can do?

Ive won a cup scoring a hat-trick in the final with football, thats the only thing which came close. But I think the self achievement I felt completeing that today even topped the football.

Mid April I bought my first road bike, 7 weeks later I've just completed my first event finishing 20mins off the pace of the fastest finisher... I'm over the moon
Strava now updated as well.

To go from zero to cycling a 20+ average over 50 miles within two and a half months...... I am in awe, a huge achievement

Time to start time trialling at that pace mate.

Especially as you haven't got tri bars fitted to your steed.
