Just won the Pyrenean virtual rides disc on ebay and also got the Ventoux ride disc in the post, so I'm getting there

Tacx Flow turbo trainer, which had the I Magic upgrade (which has the USB connection to take the data to the PC), on a spare PC in the garage

Got it off Bikeradar for a reasonable price.

This is the screen on the PC, but I hope a software update will change the picture to full screen. I used to be able to sit and do turbo sessions listening to music, but this is much more fun.

If that's a set up in the garage and you can rig it full screen you should buy a projector and hang a sheet in front of the garage door (floor to ceiling). Project the display onto that and it'll be like a redneck virtual reality room

I went down to Annecy at the weekend to pick up my partner's daughter with all her gear after a year of au pairing down there. With 6 hours sleep in the past 48 and massively hungover (the wine was superb though!) I crawled out of bed, braved the rain and did this!

Not proud of the time, but proud I did it in my state and that weather!

My hired bike...

He's done bigger ones than that.

There's some interesting bits in the middle of that climb Mike!

Agree with you about the weather, but I'd rather be there, than here.

Chapau mate

Anyway, can I warn anyone thinking of doing climbs like this, then don't!

Because once you get the taste for it, then its difficult to stop!
