Fascinating day on the Tour today. Sad to see end of Lance Armstrong though

He had bad luck today, but then he's never really had that before.

Its still wide open I think, no clear contender, although Schleck is my favourite.

I just want Wiggo to have a stormin day, he look good today, but you could tell he wasn't going to do anything special.

Still 2 weeks to go, and anything can happen

Contador does not look the force he was last year

I was gutted when Wiggins dropped out of the back of the Contador/Schlek group 3kms was it from the finish. Armstrong was unlucky, 2 offs and a puncture at the start of the climb, but he's definitely beat in the GC, be interesting to see how he approaches the remainder of the tour. Another big day on Tuesday

I think that is because in the past, he was at the front leading, where as so far this tour all he has done is hide in other peoples wheels. I wander if the team he has around him isnt as strong. Look at the Astana guys, much tougher, same guy lead over both the last climbs until Bertie decided to up the anti. Vinokorov was going back to fetch water bottles as well.

I was a bit disappointed to see Wiggo get dropped out the back, but then I think Sky used its riders to early when pushing on the 2nd climb from the end, but then it was the Sky riders who did the damage Armstrong and the Radioshack guys...

Good days viewing though I thought.

Well after a busy morning fitting my R&G crash bungs to the Sv, I was going to go out for a ride on the Litespeed.

I was raining this morning, but the forcast saiod it would brighten up later.

I could see some dark clouds in the distance, so I waited for a bit, good job too, as the heavens have opened up here. Would have got a bit wet

Typical, no live TDF today, so housework this afternoon

Did you realise that this is Armstrong's 13th TOUR

Lets hope this was Wiggo's one bad day and hopefully the weather will cool down a bit to suit him. I don't think the really hot weather suits him, he hinted at this

I don't think Cadel will hold on, as he's bound to have a bad day and no team around him to help

I used to watch Le Tour back in the 90's when Indurain was going strong. I think Ullrich and Riis were contenders at the time and Boardman was still competing. I then lost interest after that and stopped watching. I do seem to remember Armstrong being a very average rider, struggling on the climbs. When I heard Armstrong had Cancer and had made a comeback and then winning Tour after Tour, I was surprised to say the least. I came back to watching cycling around 3 years ago (started with Le Tour again) and obviously there were a host of new riders and all the teams had changed. I think Rabobank might be the only ones still running 13 years later?

Either way, great Tour so far and its refreshing to see competition early on mixing it up. Looking forward to seeing a scalded Armstrong try and take the odd stage win but I think it'll be difficult in the mountains with Schleck looking so strong. I'm not sure if Contador will be able to keep pace with him if he puts another performance in like he did yesterday.

Just had some lovely diadora road shoes and some Shimano Floating SPD SL cleats turn up. Now all I have to do is to change the pedals back...

Was, not at the moment, as I'm not competing (haven't since 1996), just keeping fit
