Next time I am in London I'll look out for them, and grab their front brake as they go by.

New shifters. Old hat to you techy lot I'm sure... but feel good to me
Alloy brake perches rather than plastic, loads more feel and power.

Very similiar to what I'm just putting on my road bike (the old ones were a bit worn, fair play after 18 years)

Had a wee ride today to the next town over for their gala day, remember this guy from the youtube video?

Bloody show offs.

Anybody want to recommend me some brake blocks? Mine are getting low.

Was out the other day after a fortnight or so of nothing, right scream that you can get away with stuff that would have you tarmac surfing on proper bike Teehee.

Clarkes make good pads and blocks for MTB's.

If you have Hope disk pads, get original ones because they last better in my view and provide better braking power. Mind you, I am still on Hope C2s because they may be old, but they are still awesome.

Mind you, if you have Promax brakes, tying a stick to your wheels will feel like an improvement!

Be happy out there beautiful people of the Org and be good or else...

What is your opinion of threadless bottom bracket unit?

Not seen one to be honest, but have heard about these things. I have been told that they are for frames that have weak threads in the shell (old Aluminium Alloy frames or damaged steel ones) or badly misaligned (cheap and cheerful). This is of course provided that we are referring to the same thing.

Are you running old style square taper (like me on both of my bikes) or one of the newer spline with external bearing units?

Being that the Bottom bracket is one of your main bearings, in my view you should try to get the best possible unit you can. I have head many good things about Shimano, Hope, Sram and Truvative units, some of which can be very good prices.
