Nope, thought about joining the local club, but sort of decided I dont want to. Just doesnt appeal. I like going out on my own. I like the solitutde and the quiet and going where I want to go.

Never have been.

There's a "loose association" of about 15 mates that I ride with. Nothing formal and mainly for keeping fit and getting the flab off.

I ride for pleasure mainly, but will probably have done another sportive by the end of the summer...... so long as my mates join me!

I like the Armstrong one coming out of the dust cloud

The Moreau cornering one is great too

But I'm a bit bored with the obligatory sunflower field shot

Very interesting today, bit of a should he shouldnt he moment with Contador. I dont think it was particularly sporting of him, but then if Schlecks gone on the break and its backfired, what does he do? I think this will fire Schleck up for the next 2 stages where I fully expect him to attack if he's got anything left. Should make for a brilliant climax

He was attacking as Schleck had his moment, yes he should have continued, I'm fed up with this 'oooh he's had a bit of bad luck, lets wait for the poor chap'

Jenson Button, wouldn't wait for Hamilton would he, or vice versa.

If Schleck had fallen because of a spectator like Armstrong did a few years ago it would have been different.

Schleck should have had a chain catcher, then he wouldn't have had this problem. He panicked, which didn't help him sort his chain out quicker

Crackikng stage, compelling viewing. Damned if he did damned if he didnt. But ettiquette does dictate that they should have all waited for Schleck to sort his bike out and get back into the group. Armstrong and Ulrich have both done this in the past...

But once Menchov and Sanchez went, what was he supposed to do sit there and loose his 2nd place ? Would Sanchez and Menchov have waited if he had told them to, or should he have set an example for others to follow.

I dont believe he didnt know what happened, if he didnt see it surely he would have been told over the radio.

8 seconds isnt much between those two, Schleck now has to go out and attack I think. Of course if Bertie has a bike problem, Schleck himself can be justified in repaying himself with his own coin as it were...

Gonna be an awesome couple of days...
