Yep, I agree with that, but getting it round corners at speed might be difficult?

I'd like to ride it to see what it's like.

I would have thought that if it was a good design, we'd see more like this on the trike scene, or is it because trike riders are more traditional and only want a single wheel in front of them?

Certainly getting a traditional trike round a bend at speed is a different technique, certainly at racing speeds

It's got to be more stable, think Reliant Robin vs Morgan 3 wheeler.

Perhaps it's convention or could be cost as well, I would think it's a much simpler build and set up putting the extra wheel on the back.

Rear axle trikes are just easier to build as you don't have to mess with steering, simple as that really.

As regard the conversion, I agree with Fizz's sentiment.

It may be that this is the owners old bike but cannot make this conversion to a carbon frame? The builder didn't realise Colnago was a good frame? It was donated? Without knowing the circumstances we'll never know who made this trike or why, so who are we to judge them for it? I think we should celebrate the fact that someone with balance issues is still able to get out riding.

Merlin Cycles are doing full Ultegra 6800 groupset for £451, you can add the wheelset for £200 & pedals for £50

http://www.merlincycles.com/shimano-...oem-77409.html

Best deal I've seen, since I bought my 6600SL groupset from them

Or 105 for £256 in silver

Not as many exhibitors as the NEC show, but far less hassle to get to from my point of view.

Georgous bikes on the Enigma stand, plus a few other bespoke builders. One day I will have a custom frame done.

Met one of my all time cycling heros on his stand, Stephen Roche.

Saw David Millar too, my he's a lanky so & so

Ribble are doing one of their carbon frame bikes with a 105 group set for £900.

http://www.ribblecycles.co.uk/?type=RIBMO

As usual, you can up the spec to your own needs, but that's a cracking deal!

Yes, but even better IMHO if you went for the Ultegra Di2 upgrade on that frame
