Well, I just got my flight dates for SA and I'm not leaving until the 21st September

Which means I can do this with my boss who's also a bit of a keen cyclist:

http://www.sunseaandcycling.com/hill...formation.aspx

The 14 hills one, ~55miles IIRC, orienteering and all

Any advice / technique / condolences to offer?

Just had a phone call from Leisure Lakes, my new Trek 6300 disc is ready for collection!

Pity the voucher from the www.cyclescheme.co.uk isn't here yet!

Very excited, new shiny bike!

Quite...

Nobody fancy joining us?

Can pick people up at the boat and drop off afterwards...

And now for something completely different: Nothing exciting, just my commute, testing the camera setup, seems to work OK if I remember to align it properly...

Subject to stock availability, tommorow I will be purchasing a Rockrider 8.1.

£499 for a bike which the frame is shared on their £799 bike. Comes with RS Tora 302 forks. SRAM rear mec, Deore front, decent hubs, Avid Juicy 3 brakes.

Its no longer available on Decathlons site, but they have some stock near us.

Can't wait.

Cool, always possible to upgrade a good frame, but pointless to upgrade a carp frame.

I'm looking for a new MTB, something like this would suit me fine, price is about what I want to pay

Off to the Nurburgring after work to take part in the team 24 hour bicycle race, known as Rad am Ring. We have two teams of 4, so approx 6 hours in the saddle, a lot of hills and some steep downhill (v.max last year was 96 km/hr for me with a good draft) and long uphill slogs. It's going to be tiring due to the lack of sleep, one lap stints are the quickest way to go, so it's best to treat it as 6x55minute sprints.

Come Sunday afternoon I think I'm going to be sore!
