Sitting in the house bored watching the snow fall and I've spotted a Giant TCR Advanced with a big raft of upgrades. I won't be buying it but there's something a little appealing about it. Not sure about the luminous colours though.

Well, it's on again and the whole city has gone mad. I'm just not into it so it was a very early start on my own this morning and a 70km route to miss the worst of it.

So I had a £15 voucher to spend with Wiggle. They also had a sale on. So one thing lead to another and I bought these

You'll no be missed in those bad boys.. You better keep spending the now 17th April it'll all stop

I must be mental, I've taken a half day to get out on the road. Better take it easy there's still patches of snow lying in the fields and the hills are white.

Yeah its crazy commuting at the moment, nearly everyday people are pulling out on me at junctions. Despite lights both front and rear and reflective tape on my mudguards and helmet.

Yesterday was a bit slippy, today not so bad but still taking it easy as its difficult to see whats what in the dark, whether thats ice or just water.

Just the wheels to get now Dean, then I can stop spending money.

Love my Sidi Genius carbon shoes

Sadly either my weird peddling stance on my left leg or the position of the cleat bolt holes means i keep clipping the crank with the end of the top strap. Its infuriating, as no matter how i change the cleat i can't get enough clearance.

i dont have the same issue with my Diadoras or my old Adidas shoes

Just bought some Shimano shoes, which have a different strap, otherwise I'm going to get some with the Boa lacing system.

I like how nearly everything on the Sidi's is a replaceable. I've got 2 pairs of Sidi motorcycle boots that were very comfortable and performed brilliantly. I am pretty sure these will fit the bill nicely. The Techno 3 lacing system is a treat to use as it the same closure system on my Mag 1 boots.

My old Northwaves are only 9 months old but the non replaceable heel pad has nearly wore away, and isn't replaceable. Some slight accident damage on them from the crash, resulted in the fabric tearing. They are also a mesh construction and don't really keep my feet warm. The vents on the soles also let water in.
