I may be in crazy clogland but I tend to stay away from the O.A.P.s!

25 miles today and I'm bloody knackered!!

Although to be fair I went the hilly way and the GPS was reading something like 800m total ascent - no idea if that's a lot but it sounds like it to me

Stopped because I felt I'd do myself an injury If I pushed for the full 40+ miles round back home

Tell you what though, 25 miles off-road up and down the downs is nothing like 25 miles on the road / cycle paths!!!

Nope, 25 miles off road feels more like 125 - 150 miles on the road... even smooth compact tracks will be a lot harder than tarmac.
I miss that feeling, though. Note to self: get off the couch.

You see, that's funny, 'cause I'm quite keen to get back on it now...

Sorry for the crappy phone pic, but the first pic of the new bike in it's natural habitat, you'll have to imagine the sweeping vista looking miles back to Southampton sound from the Tennyson Trail...:

edit: And to those who said it was too clean...

Only now?

Nice looking bike TLW

Just put "slicks" (Conti SportContacts) on my hybrid ready for the soon to be regular commute. Anyone tried 'em?
