Actually that looks pretty good, bit neater than my setup as it holds the bag closer to the saddle.

This is the Fizik setup I have

First "proper" ride on the Boardman today. I say that as 15 miles last month was really a test to see what the bike was like. Since then I've done varying short distances under 10 miles usually to tweak the saddle height and position, bars and pedals. I think I'm somewhere there now although still need to make sure fore & aft position is right.

Anyway, 25 miles at 15.7mph on a fairly flat course (1000ft climbing) and I felt I could have quite easily done 30, possibly more. Didnt want to cause myself too many aches and pains in the morning as the muscles need to get used to it. Really enjoyed it though.

Just edited to add that I also nearly got wiped out by a car just before finishing. The last half mile is all downhill, not particularly steep but an opportunity to hit about 30mph so I decided to wind it up. I saw the car approaching the junction from the left and at which point it stopped so I thought it had seen me. Just as I near (within about 15 feet), said Golf driver pulls right out and turns left into my path causing me to take emergency manouvre of pulling into the outside of the lane and overtaking him. I think it registered with him about halfway out into the junction but he kept on going regardless. If I wasnt so conscious of staying upright i'd have banged on his window as I rode passed to make sure he knew I was there. They say motorcycling is dangerous....

Gah I have new bike envy, the other chap at work I go cycling with has just bought a new bike to. He's bought a Ribble to. One of the higher end ones. I think its a Nero but not 100% sure.

I really want one of these

Sadly finances say otherwise...

Do you get much in there? Looks like a spare tube would fill it up?

LP, I saw something very similar to Fizz's seat pack in Decathlon today. clamped to the seat rails

No strap round the seatpost either, slightly longer maybe. Only abot £7 I think.

Probably going back next week, so can pick up one if you need one

Cheers Mav, but I'm afraid I spunked the cash today for the Scicon one I posted yesterday. Ooops!
