Was back to 'ol Faithful this weekend due to ****ty weather. 82.5Km with a fast blast before the cafe to catch the group after a stop for cash by one of the boys, I was a designated domestique to help get the group back together. The catch was made after 12 miles, was a bit tired! Towed my brother home later as he is returning to cycling and struggling with ill health and fatness....

Average before cafe stop - 29.8kph
Average after stop (towing) - 22.6kph

Good ride, although flattish. Back to the hills next week if the weather is good.

f*cks sake.

I thought I'd look into some insurance cover for me and the bikes. Recent events made me think that its finally time I did something about it.

So I put the Fixie in value £500, then I put in what I think the look I might get will probably cost say £4000.

Insurance preimum is more than the insurance on the GSXR is. £451 next time tells me cyclists should have insurance they are going to get a mouthfull...

Yes, blooming expensive. I've got the Wilier listed on my home contents as a specific item, I couldn't afford to replace that if it got nicked, the others wouldn't be such a problem.

Todays very short ride, after nearly two weeks since my last ride it took me a while to get going.

Its getting to that tricky time of year in knowing what to wear, not enough and get cold, too much and overheat. I stopped and took my under helmet cap off, plus my thin overshoes. I still had too much on my top half and I reckon I could have worn shorts today

Yep know what you mean about clothing. Past two weeks it has been shorts with thin tights over, overshoes, long sleeve jersey and base layer. Waterproof/windproof in pocket if I get cold (needed two weeks ago due to wind chill) with a thermal headband. Works ok for me as I sweat like a fat lass dancing when on the bike anyway! Dunno what I'll do as it warms up though, will be caught between summer and winter kit.

and your maxHR.... madness!

I'm in my 3/4's two baselayers and a jersey today. Was freezing this morning, but been to see my friend at lunchtime and its lovely here. Like Mavic, I reckon I could have been in shorts today.
